Walk & Watch

RCMP Horse and Rider

The Richmond RCMP Crime Prevention Unit would like to encourage people who walk within the City of Richmond to register their names and e-mail addresses with the RCMP's Walk & Watch program.

When you are out walking, you can be an extra set of eyes and ears for the police, watching out for and reporting suspicious activities. Registered participants will receive an information package including an Incident Checklist to help you record important information, and a When and How to Call the Emergency Numbers brochure which explains how to call the police. You will receive e-mails with updates regarding neighbourhood criminal activity such as residential and/or commercial break and enters, and, theft of or from autos.

People interested in joining the Walk and Watch program can submit an online registration form or obtain registration forms from either the Steveston or South Arm Community stations, or main Detachment, or by calling 604 713-2300.

Registration can also be done via email to blockwatch@richmond.ca  (Include your name and address).

Those wanting to report criminal activity anonymously can still do so through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
