About Getting Richmond Moving

Getting Richmond Moving

Getting Richmond Moving promotes active healthy living in Richmond through five key initiatives:

Walk Richmond
Walk Richmond is an initiative aimed at building a legacy of healthy lifestyles in Richmond by engaging people in lifelong walking. This project, a partnership between the Richmond Fitness and Wellness Association and the City of Richmond, offers people living and working in Richmond the opportunity to take steps towards healthier living by changing behaviors and encouraging them to explore the benefits of walking and active living.  Find additional information including schedules and maps by clicking on the Walk Richmond link.

Grade 5 Active! Pass
All Grade 5 students in Richmond are eligible to receive this pass, which gives them free access to aquatic facilities, skating and a variety of community centres throughout the school year.  Find more information on the Grade 5 Active! Pass page.

Urban Scavenger Hunts
Explore local parks, get active and have fun with an urban scavenger hunt!  Find out more at the Urban Scavenger Hunts page.

Stay Active, Eat Healthy
Getting Richmond Moving introduces initiatives to ensure that healthy food options are available in all community centre vending machines, as well as arenas and aquatics concessions.
