New Minoru Complex
Building our future
The City of Richmond is currently building the new Minoru Complex which will address current and future community needs for recreation, sport and other community needs.

Minoru Complex will be an

  • Integrated, multi-purpose complex in the southwest area of Minoru Park that will include a new aquatic centre, new older adult centre and space for other recreation and community needs. This complex will replace and expand services provided at Minoru Aquatic Centre, Minoru Place Activity Centre and the former Minoru Pavilion. As well, there will be upgrades and the relocation of playing fields and tennis courts in Minoru Park
  • In addition to Minoru complex, there will be construction of a new No. 1 Fire Hall at Gilbert Road and Granville Avenue. In addition to being Richmond’s central fire hall and headquarters, this facility is also home to Richmond Fire-Rescue’s administrative offices, Fire Prevention and Public Education.
