Public FishingPublic Fishing Piers
Richmond has four public piers; the Sport Fishing Pier at the south foot of No. 3 Road, London's Landing at the south foot of No. 2 Road, the restored CN Barge Pier at the north foot of No. 7 Road and a recently added pier on Mitchell Island at the west end of Twigg Place. Each of these piers offers a unique view of the Fraser River. There are picnic tables at each location.

An excellent view of the Fraser River can also be enjoyed from the wharf at the Britannia Heritage Shipyard located at the south foot of Railway Avenue.

No. 3 Road PierNo. 3 Road Sports Fishing Pier
This fishing pier is located at the south foot of No. 3 Road along the South Dyke, adjacent to the Dogs Off-Leash Park. The pier has panoramic views of the South Arm of the Fraser River, Ladner, Mt. Baker and river traffic.  Parking and washrooms are available.


London's Landing / No. 2 Road Fishing Pier
A historic area at the start of the South Dyke Trail with views of Steveston Island (aka Shady Island) and the historic Cannery Channel. Area highlights include close proximity to historic London Farm, a Bike Terrain Park, fishing float anchored to the pier, picnic tables, washrooms, interpretation signage and parking.

Imperial Landing 02Imperial Landing
Located between the south foot of No. 1 Road and Railway Avenue, this historic waterfront area has become one of the most popular waterfront destinations in Richmond.

Extensive redevelopment of the historic area includes townhouses, single family and condominium residences and a developing retail/commercial area. Additional site features include piers, docks, historic from BC Packers Cannery, an extensive interpretation signage program detailing the area's historic significance and serves as an important link between Britannia Heritage Shipyards and Steveston Village.

Mitchell Island Pier
Located along the northwest edge of Mitchell Island, this unique pier, once part of an old rail bridge between Vancouver and Richmond, provides views of the working river from as far west as Vancouver's Marpole area to east of the Knight Street Bridge.  The pier has a small picnic area in the pocket park at the entrance of the site and features a small group of benches on the pier deck itself.

Boat LaunchMcDonald Beach Boat Launch Ramp
McDonald Beach Boat Launch is located on the north bank of Sea Island at the end of McDonald Road. Facilities include two ramps, public washrooms, picnic tables and a small concession. For information call 604-244-1208
