Preschool Programs

Children and CraftsSouth Arm Community Centre sponsors two licensed preschools.

Preschool Parade is situated in the South Arm Community Centre, in a room that opens up to a playground.

Child's World Preschool is situated in the Community Hall within South Arm Park, at the foot of Garden City Road, south of Williams Road.

Both preschools offer a licensed program that provides a safe and friendly transition between home and school. Our preschools are designed to develop the whole child, with many opportunities for learning through play.

We offer a diverse setting where children of various cultures and backgrounds can share and learn about each other. Our curriculum is planned to incorporate a variety of subjects, themes, special holidays and multicultural events.

Preschool In-SessionTeachers are qualified and experienced in Early Childhood Education. All staff have CPR and First Aid certificates.

Preschool registration must be done in person. Please bring your child's:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Care Card
  • Immunization Record

Fees payable by cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express or cheque are due at registration. An additional registration fee may be applied. Monthly post-dated payments for the remainder of the school year are acceptable.

The next Preschool term is from September 2011 to June 2012 with a winter and spring break vacation. For all licensed preschools, children must turn appropriate age by December 31, 2011.
