Fitness Centre
The 1,200 square foot Hamilton Fitness Centre features 11 cardio machines, strength machines and free weights, medicine balls, stability balls, balance boards and bosu balls.
Drop-in schedules

Saturday/Sunday: 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Fitness Fees
Hamilton Community Centre offers a number of options for accessing fitness programs, including paying a drop-in fee or purchasing a visit card or fitness centre pass, as well as offering programs for registration. See the Fitness Fees section for more information.
Orientations and other services
Fitness Centre Orientation
Book an introduction to the Fitness Centre with a BCRPA registered Weight Trainer and learn proper techniques for equipment use and Fitness Centre etiquette. Call 604-718-8055 to book an appointment.
Youth Orientation
Youth aged 13-17 years of age must complete a youth orientation, demonstrate appropriate maturity level and have a parental consent form signed prior to Fitness Centre access. Youth aged 13-14 must be accompanied by an adult in the fitness centre at all times. Youth orientations can be booked by calling Hamilton at 604-718-8055 and need only be completed once for eligibility to exercise at all community centres.
Personal Training
Session packages are developed and designed by a BCRPA registered Personal Trainer to reach individual fitness goals safely and effectively. Please see the Personal Training Brochure (below) for information on fees, our instructors and how to set up an initial consultation.

Screening Forms
PAR-Q (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire for Everyone)
When you take part in any fitness activity at a City facility you will be asked to either complete a PAR-Q+, read the large poster version of the form, or to confirm you have completed the online version of the questionnaire. This form is designed to identify people for whom a change in physical activity may pose a risk.

Booking Procedures
The following procedures apply unless otherwise stated:
- Reservations: Only one week in advance by phone. Payment must be made at time of booking.
- Cancellations: Please provide 24 hours advance notice if canceling. Refunds or credits will not be issued for cancellations with less than 24 hours notice.
- Booking per person: Up to 2 courts per day.
- Private lessons: All court rentals are for public use. For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, private lessons are restricted to those run by the Hamilton Association.
