55 +/ Seniors

Programs and services for those 55+ years are offered at many of our community recreation facilities including Minoru Place Activity Centre.

Groups
The Indo-Canadian Seniors Men's Group meets on a drop-in basis in the Cambie Community Centre lobby every afternoon from 12:30-4:00pm to play cards.

The Seniors Tea and Coffee Group meet every Monday from 11:00am-1:00pm in the Cambie Community Centre Multipurpose Room.

Wellness clinics are held the first Monday of every month in the Cambie Community Centre Multipurpose Room. The following services are provided:

  • retired registered nurses are available to discuss medications and health concerns.
  • free blood pressure and glucose testing is available from 9:30-11:30am
  • reflexology, acupressure and massage is available for $8 per session (please call Linda at 604-233-8399 to book and appointment)
