Adult Recreational Hockey

Starting September 1st, for the 2009 Fall Season, the following will be implemented for all programs at the Richmond Arenas.

Adult Drop in Hockey
The City of Richmond strongly recommends wearing full hockey equipment and a CSA approved hockey helmet to prevent injuries. Proof of age is required.

Adult Stick & Puck and Adult Stick & Wheel
The City of Richmond strongly recommends wearing full hockey equipment as well as a CSA approved hockey helmet to prevent injuries. Proof of age is required.

Helmets are approved for each specific sporting activity to best protect you for that certain activity (e.g. hockey, cycling, boarding). A sport specific helmet cannot prevent all head injuries in all sports. Helmets also have a certification from CSA that lasts for a certain period. Make sure you are protecting yourself by wearing an activity specific helmet with CSA certification that is current. For all skating and ice related sports it is strongly recommended that you wear a hockey helmet.

Please see below the new policies and procedures we are implementing for the
Advanced Bookings of our Daytime Adult Drop In Hockey.

Players may register up to one week in advance, in-person or over the phone by abiding by the following guidelines…

They must purchase a 10 time punch card that will be kept in the Richmond Ice Centre office under their name. The cost for a punch card is $47.70, which is a savings of $5.30.

Each time a client calls in they get their card punched and the staff will date the back of the card as to the day the client is playing. This way we can keep track of the dates for easy reference.

There will be no transfers or refunds.

Please Note: This new procedure is in addition to all other policies for Adult Drop in Hockey. All other policies that do not pertain to advance bookings, clients MUST still adhere by.
