Adult Recreational Hockey
Richmond Arenas provides opportunities for adults to participate in recreational drop-in hockey programs as well as organized hockey leagues. To prevent injuries, the City of Richmond strongly recommends wearing full hockey equipment and a CSA approved hockey helmet for all hockey programs.
Proof of age is required.

Adult Stick & Puck and Adult Stick & Wheel
At the time of check-in, ID must be shown. You will receive an arm band, which you are required to be wear and have visible at all times.
Advanced Booking: There is no pre-payment option for Adult Stick & Puck and Adult Stick & Wheel sessions.
Phone-in Bookings: There is no phone in registration for Adult Stick & Puck and Adult Stick & Wheel sessions.
Available Spaces: For Adult Stick & Puck and Adult Stick & Wheel, 20 skaters are permitted on the ice/floor at one time. If space permits a second ice/floor surface will be opened for additional participants.
There are no transfers or refunds for any adult recreational hockey programs.
Adult Stick & Puck
This drop-in program focuses on individual skill and development for adults 19 years and older. No games allowed. Players must use their own sticks and pucks. The City of Richmond strongly recommends wearing a CSA approved hockey helmet to prevent injuries. Proof of age is required.
Adult Stick & Wheel
This drop-in program rakes place on the dry floor with roller blades. Players must use their own sticks, pucks and roller blades. The City of Richmond strongly recommends wearing a CSA approved hockey helmet to prevent injuries. Proof of age is required.
Adult Recreational Drop-In Hockey
This is a recreational drop-in hockey program for those 19 years and older. The City of Richmond strongly recommends wearing full hockey equipment and a CSA approved hockey helmet to prevent injuries. Proof of age is required.
Booking Procedures
Players may register up to one week in advance, in-person or over the phone, by following these guidelines:
- A 10 time punch card must be purchased and will be kept in the Richmond Ice Centre office under the purchaser's name. The cost for a punch card is $55.35, a savings of $6.15.
- Each time a client calls in to register, their card will be punched and staff will date the back of the card with the day the client is playing. This keeps track of the dates for easy reference.
- There are no transfers or refunds for any adult recreational hockey programs.
Please note: This procedure is in addition to all other policies for Adult Drop-In Hockey. Clients must still adhere to all other policies that do not pertain to advance bookings.
