A number of community facilities in Richmond host fun-filled birthday parties throughout the year for preschool and school aged children. Birthday party packages are specific to individual facilities.

Britannia Heritage Shipyard
Theme: Pirates
Description: Our pirate themed party is full of fun and adventure as children spend an exciting afternoon at Britannia in a safe and friendly environment. All parents need to do is supply the pirates and 2.5 hours of (supervised!) looting and pillaging is included. Included: decorated room, invitations, pirate education program, games, crafts, loot bags, drinks, pizza and a birthday cake. Three week advance notice is required.
Time: 2.5 hours

Hamilton Community Centre
Theme: Pirate, Princess, Sports, Superheroes, Jungle, Slumber or Games
Description: Choose from seven different and exciting birthday parties! All parties have use of the Multipurpose Room, kitchen and gym. Bookings must be made two weeks in advance of the party. Included: one staff member and one volunteer responsible for: the set-up and take-down of the party, snack preparation (and birthday cake which must be previously arranged with parents), running the group activities, craft and gym game. The package also includes all materials for the decorations, activities and loot bags.
Time:1:30 to 3:30 pm Saturdays only

Steveston Community Centre
Description: Birthday parties include: children's tables and chairs, ride on toys and open gym equipment, room rental (2 hours plus 30 minutes before to set up and 30 minutes after for clean up). Parties available on Saturdays or Sundays, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm or 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

Thompson Community Centre
Description: We offer two birthday party packages in the Banquet Hall on Saturdays and Sundays, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Included: a large birthday banner, birthday balloons, streamers, tablecloths on children's tables, ride on toys and open gym equipment, craft party hats or face painting, room rental (2 hours plus one hour before to set-up and one hour after to clean up) and a Birthday Party coordinator. Please limit the number of adults attending the Birthday Party. This is not an adult social, our focus is on giving a quality Birthday Party for children. Parents are responsible for supplying party food, utensils, table settings, gift bags and kitchen clean-up.

Richmond Arenas
Richmond Arenas offers a fun filled atmosphere for birthday parties. Parties are available at Minoru Arenas throughout the fall and winter.

Minoru Aquatic Centre
Everything you need for a birthday party (excluding the cake): swimming, games, pizza, and a party leader. Saturdays 1:00 to 3:30 pm, Sundays from 11:30 am to 200 pm.

Watermania
Children will have a blast in the wave pool, slipping down the slides and playing in the interactive water play structure. A private party room may be reserved in advance for $38.75 per hour. Hot dog and drink packages are also available.
