Volunteers Needed For Family and Youth Court Committee

The City of Richmond is seeking community volunteers to fill vacancies on the Family and Youth Court Committee. 

The purpose of this Provincially mandated Committee is to:

  • consider and examine community resources available for family and children’s matters
  • make recommendations to City Council, the Attorney General and others when required

Participation on this Committee will appeal to those who:

  • have a general interest in law, community family and children’s matters
  • have experience in the fields of education, health, probation or human resources
  • represent the Richmond business community

The successful candidates must be available to attend a Committee meeting at Richmond City Hall one Wednesday evening per month; with additional availability on weekdays to attend court as an observer at least twice a month. The term for this Council-approved appointment will expire on December 31, 2010.
