Caretaker Opportunity at City Centre Park

The Parks Department is seeking a park caretaker to live in a newly acquired City-owned house, suitable for a family in the City Centre area.
Ideally the successful candidate will possess the following:
- experience in and appreciation for chemical free, organic gardening
- background or some training in Horticulture/Arboriculture;
- leadership qualities and leadership experience
- strong people skills
- experience working with volunteers and non profit organizations
- open minded attitude
- ability to work independently
Home and utilities will be provided in lieu of equal value of work, generally an average of 15 to 20 hours per week (more in summer months, less in winter). The duties will include specialized horticultural work throughout various gardens in the park.
