Olympic Torch Relay - The Olympic Flame in Richmond
29 October 2009On Tuesday, February 9, 2010 the Olympic Flame arrives in Richmond as part of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay, presented by Coca-Cola and RBC and supported by the Government of Canada. The Olympic Flame will travel our streets, making its way to its final destination for the day at the Richmond O Zone celebration site.
The Olympic Flame, originally lit in Olympia, Greece several days ago, will arrive directly in Victoria on October 30, 2009, sparking the start of the Olympic experience.
The Olympic Torch Relay Celebration at the Richmond O Zone will be a once-in-a-lifetime event and an incredible opportunity for our community to demonstrate our Olympic spirit, while also showcasing our island city’s uniqueness and tremendous resource of local talent and creativity to the world. Come out and get a sneak peak of the Richmond O Zone and discover what’s yet to come during the 17-day celebration.
