22 July 2009From September 16-19, British Columbians aged 55+ have the opportunity to compete in 29 sport and recreational events in Richmond at the 2009 BC Seniors Games. The Games celebrate athletic achievement and camaraderie and promote healthy active lifestyles for BC’s seniors.
To date, over 600 volunteers have registered to help out at the Games, with another 600 volunteers needed at various Richmond venues to demonstrate our community spirit and provide BC seniors with a unique once-in-a-lifetime Games experience.
Volunteers of all ages are needed. If you can contribute four or more hours of time during the four days of the Games, or help now in the lead up to the Games, let us know.
Volunteer opportunities vary from delivering lunches to venue hosts, traffic control at parking lots and helping set up and run the competitions.
