Public Art Call For Expression of Interest and Qualifications For No. 3 Road Art Columns
04 November 2009
The Richmond Public Art Commission, on behalf of the City of Richmond, invites artists/artist teams to submit their qualifications and participate in a one-stage selection process for a unique outdoor temporary exhibition opportunity.
The No. 3 Road Art Columns Project will showcase two-dimensional artwork in backlit displays surrounding three Canada Line columns. This project will be Richmond’s contribution to The Necklace Project, an inter-municipal collaboration for public art.
This opportunity is open to professional and emerging British Columbia, Alberta and Washington State artists who demonstrate a connection to or knowledge of Richmond. Each artist/team is limited to one entry.
Deadline for submissions is 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 27, 2009.
The selected artists/teams will receive $1,500 and later produce camera-ready artwork to cover four panels on one Canada Line column.
