No Smoking in Parks and Playgrounds - Effective May 25, 2009
22 July 2009Please be aware that an additional amendment to the City of Richmond Public Health Protection Bylaw No. 6989 was adopted by Richmond City Council and came into effect on May 25, 2009:
No smoking shall be permitted within twenty-five (25) metres of any outdoor sport facility or playground.
This amendment refers to City owned natural and synthetic turf sports fields, ball diamonds, stadiums, track and field facilities, lawn bowling greens, golf courses, horseshoe pitches, lacrosse boxes, tennis courts, outdoor swimming pools and all City owned playgrounds.
