Le Carnaval - Quebec's French Culture Comes to Richmond

Come out to City Centre Community Association's Le Carnaval—a winter celebration of French culture.
Date: Friday, February 6, 2009
Time: 5:00 – 7:30 p.m.
Location: Richmond City Hall, 6911 No. 3 Road
Admission: FREE
This outdoor event brings the atmosphere and experiences of the Quebec Winter Carnaval to our community. There will be fascinating ice scuptures, fire juggling, carnaval games, crafts, entertainment and a hockey shoot with the Richmond Sockeyes.

The entertainment line-up includes the Maple Man making traditional tire sure la neige (maple syrup on snow), as well as on-stage performances by Wintermitts, Mike Stroet, Deadbeat Ninja's break dancers and five local schools singing French Canadian songs.

Yummy French foods, White Spot burgers and Tim Hortons coffee will be available.
