National Heritage Week 2009 - Celebrate at the Richmond Museum
04 February 2009A free National Heritage Week celebration reception for all ages, hosted by the Richmond Museum, will be held:
Enjoy a presentation of the Annual Richmond Heritage Awards, a reading of Richmond’s Heritage Week proclamation by Mayor Malcolm Brodie, other entertainment and light refreshments.
Date: Tuesday, February 17, 2009 Time: 7:00 p.m. Location: Richmond Museum, 7700 Minoru Gate Admission: Free
This year’s Heritage Week theme is The Legacy of Learning, which Richmond Museum highlights with a display of handmade mapping projects from Maple Lane Elementary students. The student submissions provide a delightful addition to the current exhibition, Mapping Ricmond.
Heritage Week runs from February 16 – 22 and the Mapping Richmond exhibit runs to October 2009.
