Indian Arts Benefit for Global Relief

6 October 2009

Come enjoy a night of Indian culture at the 5th annual Indian Arts Benefit for Global Relief. This event celebrates Indian dance and music to benefit the Canadian Red Cross.

Richmond Cultural Centre will host this fundraising event on Sunday, October 11 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

This year’s performers include:

  • Sudnya Dance Academy
  • Bharata Natyam
  • South Indian Classical Dance
  • Neeraja Aptikar-Dange
  • Hindustani Classical Vocal
  • Nritya Manjiree School of Kathak
  • North Indian Classical Dance

Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and students. The event is sponsored by the City of Richmond, Omni TV and Ancan Marketing.

This annual event began a few years ago to raise money for the tsunami relief in South East Asia. In light of the recent tsunami and other global events, this benefit is still necessary to help those around the world.
