Richmond Unveils More Details of 2010 Plans

O ZoneNew details about the Richmond O Zone, the City’s official celebration site for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, will be unveiled at a public open house on October 8, 2009 from 4 to 7 p.m. at a Richmond City Hall. Those who live, work, or visit Richmond can also find out about traffic and transportation changes they can expect in Richmond during the Games-period next February.
 
The open house will provide an overview of the entertainment and other programming highlights being planned for the O Zone. The open house will also allow Richmond residents, employees and businesspersons to better understand how daily life will be affected as a result of the 2010 Games.

This will be a drop-in style open house with an opportunity for community members to speak directly with City staff, as well as view more detailed information displays.

Richmond is an Official Venue City for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. The Richmond Olympic Oval will host the long track speed skating competition for the 2010 Games. The
O Zone, Richmond’s official 2010 celebration site, will be home to a major free festival throughout the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Visit www.richmond.ca for more details.
