Register For 2010 Winter/Spring Programs With New System

17 November 2009

Capoeira, Gyrokinesis, Goju-Ryu, Osteofit—these unique courses and other always-popular programs such as swimming lessons, dance classes and youth activities, are just some of the offerings in the City of Richmond’s Winter/Spring 2010 Parks, Recreation and Culture Guide with registration beginning Tuesday, November 24.

A new program registration system will be in place. To help with the transition, the new system will be active on the City’s website beginning Thursday, November 19, allowing users to:
  • ensure Client Numbers and Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) are still valid
  • view all Winter and Spring 2010 programs online
  • become familiar with the system before registration begins

The new Class registration system is the most used recreation software product in Metro Vancouver.

With this new system comes the permanent discontinuation of touch-tone registration as of Thursday, November 19. All other registration options can still be used:

  • Online at www.richmond.ca/register, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Registration Call Centre (604-276-4300), Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • In person at community facilities during operating hours

From November 19 to December 31, registration for the remaining Fall 2009 Parks, Recreation and Culture programs can only be done through the Call Centre or in person at facilities. Online and touch-tone registration for these programs will not be available during this time frame.

After November 20, pick up your copy of the Winter/Spring 2010 Parks, Recreation and Culture Guide from a community facility, Safeway or Save-on Foods or view it online at www.richmond.ca/guide.

For more information, please call 604-276-4300 or visit www.richmond.ca/register.
