Richmond Showcases 2009 Capital Projects
March 25, 2009From replacing critical City watermains to restoring heritage landscapes, the City of Richmond has more than 30 major construction and capital projects planned for 2009. On April 2, the public is invited to drop by City Hall to learn all about them.
This year’s scheduled projects include the seniors activity circuit and children’s play area at Hugh Boyd Park, new fire hall construction, transit stop and pedestrian crosswalk improvements, the integration of the Canada Line and the restoration of No. 3 Road, and the Middle Arm waterfront greenway development.
The drop-in event will be held on Thursday, April 2, from 3 – 7 p.m. at Richmond City Hall, located at 6911 No. 3 Road. It will feature informative display boards and City employees from engineering, facilities, transportation, parks and major projects who will be on hand to provide further information and answer questions.
