The City of Richmond fosters healthy youth development through an intentional asset building approach. These assets are considered developmental “nutrients” which encompass common sense and positive experiences and qualities that are vital to raising successful young people. Youth with more assets are less likely to be involved in negative, high-risk behaviours. For more information about developmental assets, please visit www.search-institute.org.
