Richmond City Council wishes to fill vacancies on the following:

Public Art Commission

The function of the Commission is to provide direction and advise City Council on the management and implementation of the Richmond Public Art Program.

The members of the Commission may include artists, professional art consultants (designers, gallery directors, curators, educators or conservators), urban design professionals (architects, landscape architects, planners, urban designers, engineers or developers), and citizens who are interested in public access to the arts.

Meetings will typically be scheduled for the third Wednesday evening of each month. One position for an artist and one position for an urban design professional (architect, landscape architect, planner, urban designer, engineers or developer) are available for two-year terms expiring December 31, 2009.

It should be noted that these are voluntary positions, with no remuneration. Persons interested in serving the community on any of the above bodies are invited to submit an application, along with a resume, to the attention of: David Weber, Director, City Clerk’s Office, no later than Friday, March 14.
