38 Candidates File their Nominations for Richmond Civic Election

Richmond electors can choose between three mayoral candidates and 23 councillor hopefuls in the 2008 Richmond general local and school election. Another 12 are vying for school trustee positions. The nomination period closed today (October 10) at 4 p.m.

The 2008 election for the position of mayor and eight councillors for the City of Richmond, and seven school trustee positions for the Richmond Board of Education is Saturday, November 15, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Advance voting is scheduled on November 5, 6, 8, 12 and 13, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., at City Hall, (6911 No. 3 Road). On general local election day, voters can find their polling station by entering their address on the city website (Elections 2008 > Voter Information > Where do I vote).
