City Tests Lighting Effects on No. 3 Road

October 10, 2008

The City of Richmond is conducting another test of special lighting effects on the Canada Line guideway on No. 3 Road starting Tuesday, Oct. 14. The test will last approximately one week.

The test site is immediately south of Alderbridge Way on the east side of No. 3 Road. This test will light a short section of the elevated Canada Line guideway between two columns and will include programmed coloured light changes. It’s the third such test conducted by the City as part of the No. 3 Road Restoration Project currently underway.

The decision to incorporate special effect lighting will depend on factors such as safety, cost, funding, visual impact, public and Council assessment. Public comment is always welcome and can be provided online through our feedback form at richmond.ca>No 3 Road Restoration Project>Public Participation or via email at citylights@richmond.ca.
