Richmond City Council to Hold Inaugural Meeting

Richmond City Council will hold its inaugural meeting tonight:
Date: Monday, December 1, 2008
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: Richmond City Hall, 6911 No. 3 Road
Council Chambers
Agenda for the meeting includes:
  • Swearing in of the new Council, including new members Greg Halsey-Brandt and Ken Johnston. (Both Johnston and Halsey-Brandt were previously longtime members of Richmond Council who resigned their seats in 2001 to successfully run for seats in the BC Legislature).
  • Delivery of his Annual Address by Mayor Malcolm Brodie.
  • Election of Richmond representatives to the Metro Vancouver Regional District board.
  • Appointments of Council standing committees and Council Liaisons to external agencies.
