This fund-raising event will feature a chef's competition for the coveted Green Cuisine Award. As well, you will you have an opportunity to enjoy samples of freshly prepared dishes for $3.00 per portion. There will be live entertainment, children’s activities, music and a silent auction. All proceeds will be donated to Terra Nova Schoolyard Society.

The chefs will come from several local restaurants including Tapenade Bistro, Papi's Restaurante Italiano, Raincity Grill, Bishops, Diva at the Met, Wild Rice and Vancouver Airport Marriot.

The chefs will then have to run into either the Fruit Tree Sharing Project's Sharing Farm or the Terra Nova Schoolyard Society's Garden to find vegetables to use in preparing their meal. The chefs are given 90 minutes to prepare four masterpieces.

As parking is limited at the park, a convenient, free shuttle bus service will depart from the City’s Works Yard, located at 5599 Lynas Lane, every 15 minutes. Visitors are also encouraged to walk, ride their bikes or carpool.

Chefs compete from 2 until 4 p.m. and the food booths will be open 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
