Richmond Businesses Prepare for 2010 - Learn More About the City of Richmond’s Plans
30 January 2008With the 2010 Olympic Winter Games just over two years away, the economic possibilities for your involvement in Richmond, as a Venue City, are yours to be explored. On Tuesday, February 12, Richmond Mayor Malcolm Brodie will be the guest speaker at theRichmond Chamber of Commerce luncheon.
Mayor Brodie will be sharing information about:
- Richmond’s “O Zone,” a proposed city-wide festival for Olympic-themed celebrations during the Games
- Proposed programs to assist local business maximize opportunities during the 17 days of the Games
- Potential impacts of Games operations on Richmond businesses
Date: Tuesday, February 12 Time: 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. Location: Best Western Richmond Hotel, 7551 Westminster Hwy Admission: $35 + GST for Chamber members
$45 + GST for non-members
He will also provide an update on the Richmond Oval which is set to open this fall.

The City of Richmond will also be holding a Public Information Open House about the proposed O Zone Celebration Site on Wednesday, February 13 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at South Arm Community Centre.
