Interested in the Draft Update of the Zoning and Development Bylaw?

21 November 2008

The general public and interested groups are invited to attend an information open house to learn about and provide feedback on the latest draft of the proposed new Zoning and Development Bylaw.
Date: Thursday, November 27, 2008
Time: 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Location: Richmond City Hall , 6911 No. 3 Road
Meeting Room M.1.003
City staff will be in attendance to answer questions and receive your feedback.

The City of Richmond has initiated this update of Zoning and Development Bylaw No. 5300 to ensure that it reflects the current and anticipated needs of the City and that it reflects the City’s vision and service delivery values to those it affects. The Bylaw was originally adopted in 1989, and has received
many amendments over the past 19 years.

The open house is the first opportunity for public feedback. This will be followed by a Public Hearing in mid-2009. The City has also scheduled opportunities for members of the development industry to provide their input, and City staff are prepared to meet with others upon request.

More information, a copy of the proposed Bylaw and a Feedback form are available on the City of Richmond website at www.richmond.ca/services/planning/projects/zoning_update.htm or at the Information and Zoning Counters at Richmond City Hall.
