Are You Registered For the 2008 General Local and School Election?

22 August 2008

On Saturday, November 15 of this year, the City of Richmond will be holding an election. Richmond residents will elect a Mayor and eight Councillors for the City of Richmond, and seven School Trustees for the Richmond Board of Education.

The City of Richmond urges you to think about your voting status for the election. Are you on the List of Electors and, if so, is the information about you current? It is suggested you:
  1. Confirm that you are registered on the existing List of Electors for the November 15, 2008 Civic Election, or
  2. Register for the November Civic Election, or
  3. Update changes to your name or address as shown on the List of Electors.

Election Office staff at City Hall will verify the information on the List of Electors for you, or you can check online by visiting the City’s website and clicking on the Elections 2008 link on the home page, then click on Voter Information and Are You Registered? Search Online.

Call the Election Office at 604-276-4100, or come into the office at Richmond City Hall, 6911 No. 3 Road, weekdays from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding holidays). The Election office is located in Room M 1.002, immediately across from the reception desk on the main floor of City Hall.
