Youth Week Launches with Chalk and Chocolate
30 April 2008The City of Richmond celebrates Youth Week from May 1 to 7. Youth Week helps to build a strong connection between young people and their communities and profiles the issues, accomplishments and diversity of Richmond’s youth.
“The aim of the City of Richmond’s Youth Services is to meet some of the recreational, social and cultural needs of youth,” explains Wayne Yee, Youth Services Co-ordinator. “We are always looking for creative and fun ways to interact with the youth in our community.”
Richmond’s Youth Week launches with the 2nd annual Chalk & Chocolate event.
Youth, ages 13 to 18, are encouraged to attend this delectable combination of art and sweets that also features music, contests and prizes.
