Cool Off in Steveston’s Outdoor Pool
16 May 2008Richmond residents can enjoy the heat while visiting the Steveston outdoor pool. The pool opens to the public on Saturday, May 17, in time for the long weekend.
“This weekend’s weather is perfect for families to take advantage of the City’s beautiful outdoor amenities,” says Mayor Malcolm Brodie. “Steveston’s pool is no longer Richmond’s best kept secret.”
Steveston’s outdoor pool, located in Steveston Park, adjacent to the Steveston Community Centre, will be open for weekend public swims from 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. starting May 17. South Arm outdoor pool, located east of South Arm Community Centre, will open for weekend public swims on Saturday, June 14 from 12:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Richmond’s outdoor pools will open weekdays beginning June 30. A complete outdoor pool schedule can be found at www.richmond.ca/aquatics.
