Musical Expressions - Summer Concert Series
27 June 2008Bring your chairs and blankets and relax to the sounds of summer at the Musical Expressions Summer Concert Series at Britannia Heritage Shipyard, hosted by Richmond recording artist Cherelle Jardine.
With four full length CDs under her belt, Jardine opens each concert with pieces from her song vault. This year’s summer concert series kicks off with the band Swank.
Swank inhabits the lawless borderlands between Americana, punk and rock and roll. It is gospel twisted by hillbillies, the blues pointing and laughing at existential dread and country wrought from rat-infested back alleys on the wrong side of the tracks as far west as one can go.
