Musical Expressions to Showcase Richmond Artists
06 November 2008Musical Expressions, Richmond’s popular monthly music series, starts its fifth season Saturday, November 8 at the Richmond Cultural Centre. Popular Richmond recording artist, Cherelle Jardine is the creator and producer of the showcase and has lined up an award winning list of artists who will grace the stage from and now until May 2009.
Opening night’s featured performer is Arlen Park, a songwriter deeply influenced by country, rhythm and blues. Next on the roster is John Mann, lead singer from Spirit of the West who will perform on December 6.

As ardent fans have enjoyed in the past, Jardine will open each show with favourites from her extensive song vault.
Other artists in this series are Doug Smith, local Richmond songwriter and sound tech for Musical Expressions on January 3; Tom Landa, award-winning musician from The Paperboys performs February 7; The Avelinos, talented brothers performing Brazilian bossa novas and sambas with varieties of jazz come to the stage on March 14; John Pippus, acoustic soul folk on April 4. The series ends with Canadian icon, Gaye Delorme, on May 2.
