Richmond’s Youth Street Team Wants You

28 February 2007

The Street Team project is part of a youth-focused social marketing campaign that promotes positive youth development and is an initiative of the Recreation and Cultural Services department.

The Youth Street Team will be roving the City in April promoting Youth Week 2007, as well as promoting the 40 Developmental Assets at conferences, workshops and community events throughout the year.  This volunteer position is an awesome way to make an impact in your community, gain unique marketing experience, make great contacts and be a part of a dynamic team!

We’re looking for Richmond residents between the ages of 15 and 19 who:

  • Are bubbling with energy, love people, and are chocked full of bright, innovative ideas
  • Thrive on interacting and energizing people at community gatherings and festivals in Richmond
  • Are excited about playing an active role in affecting social change for Richmond’s youth
  • Are able to attend training sessions and can volunteer 5 – 10 hours a month

If this sounds like you, e-mail your resume and cover letter telling us how your interests and talents would make a great addition to the Street Team. Please send resumes and/or questions to youthweek@richmond.ca by March 15, 2007.
