Richmond seeks Public Comment for River Road Land Use Action Plan
01 October 2007
Property owners, residents and the general public are invited to attend an information open house to learn about and comment on a proposed interim and long-term action plan which will examine rezoning applications and related land-use matters for the 16000 block of River Road.
The open house will take place on Thursday, October 4 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Richmond City Hall located at 6911 No. 3 Road.
A brief presentation will take place at 7 p.m. to provide an overview of the two-phased proposed interim and long-term plan to approach existing and future industry and agri-industrial uses for this area of River Road, while also providing direction to the rezoning applications currently under review.
Staff will use presentation boards to describe proposed long-term land uses proposed in the 16000 block of River Road, as well as confirm current City regulations and bylaws. Staff will be available after the presentation to answer questions and the public will have an opportunity to provide verbal and written feedback. This input will be used to complete the final Action Plan to be presented to City Council for approval later this fall.
