Richmond Fire Rescue offers CPR course

Learn a Life-Saving Skill
Richmond Fire-Rescue, in partnership with Richmond City Centre Community Association, is offering CPR training to the Richmond community. The course will be offered:

Date: Saturday, July 21, 2007
Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Location: Fire Hall No. 1
located at 6960 Gilbert Road
Admission: The cost is $55

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, or CPR, is an emergency method of maintaining breathing and circulation in a person whose heart has stopped. The course will teach individuals the specifics of CPR so that they may help successfully stabilize or possibly revive a family member, friend, or anyone in need.
 
With class sizes capped at 12, participants are assured quality instruction from local firefighters who are Canadian Red Cross certified. Upon successful completion of the six hour course, participants can receive up to a Level C Red Cross first aid designation based on their performance.
