Fire Crews on Scene on River Road
23 November 2007Richmond Fire-Rescue crews are battling a warehouse fire at No. 4 Road and River Road. Five units have responded to the fire at Urban Impact Recycling, which deals in waste paper.
There is significant damage to the building. Fire crews are now in a defensive mode, removing the products from the building. The threat of the fire spreading to surrounding buildings is minimal.
The public is advised to avoid the area around No. 4 Road and River Road as traffic diversion measures have been put in place.
At this time, the cause of the fire is not known. The fire call was received around 5:30 a.m.
