City of Richmond to Host Animal Wellness Expo

Bring your pet and be part of the free fun at the City of Richmond’s Third Annual Richmond Animal Wellness Expo from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on July 21 at Garry Point Park, located at the Southwest corner of Richmond between Chatham and Moncton Street on 7th Avenue.

A menagerie of animals along with animal rescue groups, trainers and other pet organizations will take part. The informative and fun Animal Wellness Expo will highlight animal welfare issues and concerns, including responsible pet ownership within our community.

Animal lovers and experts will be joined by dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and other small animals to provide information on the growing overpopulation and abandonment issues in Richmond and the Lower Mainland.

There will also be a demonstration area where trainers will show off the entertaining talents of their pets. The centre arena will feature:

  • Demonstrations
  • Games and much on agility
  • A demonstration by Cinemazoo Animal Agency
  • A performance by Paws 2 Dance more
There will be displays and demonstrations from over 30 organizations ranging from rescue groups to trainers focussing on animal safety and responsible pet ownership, as well as information on trainers and pet care facilities in the Richmond area.

There is no charge for this non-profit event and there will be many chances to win prizes.
