Family Court Committee - Invitation to Volunteer

If you have general interest in community family and children matters, and have experience in the fields of education, health, probation, or human resources, are a representatives of the business community, or a  senior secondary student, your application will be gratefully considered for this important committee.

The mandate of this Committee is to consider and examine resources available in the community for family and children’s matters; and to make recommendations to the Courts, Attorney General, and others, when required.

Details of the voluntary position are: the term is one year; the time commitment is availability on weekdays as members attend court as observers at least twice a month in addition to attending a Committee meeting one evening per month. These are voluntary positions, with no remuneration.

Persons interested in serving the community are invited to submit an application, along with a resume, to the attention of David Weber, Director, City Clerk’s Office, no later than Friday, February 17, 2006.
