Dinsmore Bridge Closed at Least Seven Days
05 October 2006The Dinsmore Bridge will remain closed to all traffic until at least October 12. Vancouver International Airport Authority engineers have completed a full assessment of the structural damage, and have determined that temporary bracing must be installed before it can be re-opened to traffic. Traffic on River Road is no longer restricted.
If you normally use the bridge, please choose an alternate route until further notice.
The bridge was closed on October 4, after it was struck by a truck travelling on River Road, which passes beneath the south end of the bridge.
