City of Richmond to Host Animal Wellness Expo
7 July 2006A menagerie of animals along with animal rescue groups, trainers and other pet organizations will take part in the City of Richmond’s First Richmond Animal Wellness Expo on July 22, 2006.
The informative and fun Animal Wellness Expo will highlight animal welfare issues and concerns including responsible pet ownership within our community. Animal lovers and experts will be joined by dogs, cats, reptiles, birds and other small animals to provide information on the growing overpopulation and abandonment issues in Richmond and the Lower Mainland.
There will also be a demonstration area where the trainers will show off the fun things they are doing with their pets, along with a pet parade around the park and a pet fashion show. Bring your pet and be part of the fun!
The Animal Wellness Expo is free and will be held at the South Arm Community Centre, 8880 Williams Road in Richmond, in the field beside the Community Police Station, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on July 22, 2006.
