West Richmond Community Centre - Community Public Art Opening

The City of Richmond, West Richmond Community Association and Students of Hugh Boyd High School cordially invite you to join in the celebrations on Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 3:00 pm as we officially unveil the Community Public Art Project at West Richmond Community Centre, 9180 No. 1 Road, Richmond. Mayor Malcolm D. Brodie will unveil the plaque. Refreshments will be served following the opening ceremonies.
This project was initiated by the West Richmond Community Association in collaboration with Hugh Boyd High School and the West Richmond community at large. Richmond artist Mark Glavina, oversaw the project, working with the students for the school year. The objective of the project is to create a visually vibrant, community driven public art piece to enhance the West Richmond Community Centre.
As part of the celebration, artist Mark Glavina, will do a presentation explaining this community public art process.
