West Nile Virus Program Information

The City’s West Nile Virus/Mosquito Control Program is underway, and comprises of the following three elements:
- Mosquito population control
- Surveillance
- Measures to treat catch basins
Information on the City’s West Nile Virus Program can now be found online at: http://www.richmond.ca/safety/prepare/city/hazards/westnile.htm
The information includes a new printable pamphlet on West Nile Virus. This pamphlet is also available at City facilities, such as community centres, libraries and at City Hall.
Concerns about West Nile Virus, including dead bird collection, can be referred to Richmond Health Services at 604-233-3147.
