City of Richmond’s First Richmond Animal Wellness Expo

July 06, 2005

Free Family Event About Pet Welfare
Join us for the first Animal Wellness Expo on July 9, 2005, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at South Arm Community Centre, 8880 Williams Road (beside the Community Police Station).

This is a free event the entire family will enjoy, with prizes to be won. Animal trainers and rescue groups will educate the public about their organizations, about the services they offer, and provide fun demonstrations with various animals. The Animal Wellness Expo will also highlight animal welfare issues and concerns including responsible pet ownership within our community. We are focusing on all types of animals from the average household pet to wild and exotic animals, in an effort to raise awareness of the overpopulation and abandonment issues in Richmond and the Lower Mainland.

Sponsors and donators include Richmond SPCA, Petcetera, Aron Pet Foods, The Beat FM, Pet Plan Pet Insurance, Petfinder.com, Modern Dog Magazine, Animal Wellness Magazine, Canadian Bird Toys, Purina Pro Plan and 650 CISL, as well as many others.
