Information Night: Fire Fighter Recruitment Process

If you are looking for a career in fire fighting in a progressive fire department, look no further than the City of Richmond. We are currently looking for men and women who emulate the City’s values, which are: Belief in People, Pursuit of Excellence, Quality Leadership, The Power of Team and Innovation.
The Richmond Fire-Rescue Department will be hiring four fire fighters to start October 3, 2005. In order to ensure all applicants are aware of the requirements and process, we invite those interested to attend an information session.
The information night is:

Richmond Secondary School Gymnasium
7171 Minoru Blvd, Richmond, BC
Two sessions - 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Parking is available behind Richmond High, Minoru Park & Brighouse Park (see inset below). Seating will be limited to 300 people per session and will be on a first come basis. This session is not a requirement to making an application.
In order to be considered for this competition, you must complete the new
Fire Fighter Application Form and quote Competition # 2005-F-02, no later than 5:00 p.m., August 11, 2005. Feel free to bring your resume the night of the information session. Richmond Fire-Rescue may experience up to 27% turnover during the next five years. If you are interested in future opportunities, feel free to attend this session. Applications are only kept on file for a one year period.
