RAV Line Roadwork Update: No. 3 Road
25 August 2005Media Advisory For Immediate Release August 24, 2005 RAV Line Roadwork Update: No. 3 Road InTransitBC is continuing pre-construction activities on No.3 Road in Richmond in advance of construction of the Richmond-Airport-Vancouver (RAV) rapid transit line. Work will continue Thursday, August 25th to confirm the locations of underground utilities where RAV stations and guideway foundations will be located. If the work cannot be completed this Thursday, it will be completed the following week.
Traffic Information
- Pre-construction work will be conducted in the northbound lanes of No. 3 Road at Westminster Highway, Ackroyd Road and Lansdowne Road. Curb lanes on No.3 Road will be periodically diverted to the centre lane at these 3 intersections
- This work involves surveying and locating underground utilities
- As part of the continued work in the roadway, there will be temporary traffic diversions around the testing locations between 7:00am and 11:00am for Thursday, August 25th
- Only a portion of one northbound lane will be closed. Traffic control measures will be provided to safely direct traffic around affected areas
- Crews will avoid obstructing driveways
- These activities will have no impact on utility services
