Richmond Businesses Offered Tips on 2010 Opportunities

The 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games will bring $4 billion of procurement business, $3 billion in major infrastructure projects and 244,000 full-time jobs to British Columbia leading up to the Games. The economic opportunities coming to BC businesses are immense.

Richmond business owners are invited to attend a procurement workshop to fully understand how the Olympic bidding process works.

The workshop will take place on November 24, 2005 from 1 - 4 p.m. and will cover topics such as: 

  • How to identify 2010 procurement opportunities 
  • How to interpret and respond to bid opportunities 
  • Where the bids are being posted 
  • How to create successful bids 
  • Where to go for information and support
Co-hosted by the City of Richmond and the Richmond Chamber of Commerce, the workshop will be at the Radisson President Hotel located at 8181 Cambie Road, Richmond. The registration fee is $10 and refreshments will be served. Space is limited, so register soon.
