City Calls for Nominations for Community Spirit Awards

Richmond City Council would like to publicly recognize individuals and groups who embrace the spirit of the community and make a positive and valuable contribution to the lives of others in Richmond.
The City of Richmond Community Spirit Awards are designed to honour the outstanding efforts of individuals and groups who make Richmond better in every way.
Individuals and organizations are eligible for a Community Spirit Award if they and/or:
- Care about the community
- Continuously contribute to the community and the well-being of Richmond citizens
- Dedicate their volunteer time to Richmond or a Richmond-based organization.
Recipients will be recognized for their contributions in one of the following categories:
- Arts & Culture
- Education
- Environment
- Health, Wellness & Sport
- Intercultural Diversity
- Seniors
- Youth
Closing date for Community Spirit Awards entries is Thursday, September 29, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. Nomination Forms are available
online for download and at local civic facilities, which can be sent in by:

Community Spirit Award winners will be selected based on the information supplied on the nomination form including the nominee’s area of contribution, their accomplishments and their impact on the Richmond community. Awards will be presented by Richmond City Council at the Civic Appreciation Event on Thursday, October 20, 2005.
