Celebrate Richmond’s Youth May 1-7

April 27, 2005

Richmond Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services will serve up a variety of events and activities for youth and people of all ages during International Youth Week May 1 – 7, 2005.

International Youth Week is a time of fun, interaction and celebration intended to build stronger connections between young people and their communities. Also, it’s an opportunity to promote the positive contributions that youth make in our community every day. It’s a spirited week and a time to say thanks for the amazing contributions youth make in our community each and every day,” says Wayne Yee, Coordinator of Youth Services.

Young people around the world organize and participate in many activities including sporting events, musical performances, art displays, movie nights, random acts of kindness, award ceremonies, social activism and employment services, to a name a few.
